This is the general outline for the site. If anything is unclear, just pm me or any other staff member and we will do our best to answer your questions.
Plot: This site takes place in ancient Rome. All territories that are used were part of the Roman empire during its prime, and the current capital is the city of Rome. Back a hundred years or so, the masses were getting exceptionally bored, so the leader of the senate back then, Constantine Scipio brought a proposition to the senate. That proposition was that every year, men would randomly be chosen from all of the provinces to become gladiators and take place in a fight to the death tournament. The senate immediately accepted this and it has been in place ever since then.
Weapons: All men are assumedly trained with weapons, but the weapons at disposal during the games are unclear, they will be scattered around the inside of the arena to be picked up. A list of the weapons will be posted in the intro to the fight by a staff member, along with the armor being worn by both parties.
Living Area: The living area of each town is generally structured the same way. There are houses for the poorest on the outside of the town, and the richer that you are the closer you live to the town square. Usually the town square is situated around the senate building or shrine of the town. The only difference is Rome, which is a city with much larger buildings and the heart of the city is built around the SPQR building.
Length of Games: The games take place once every year as stated before. This translates into about one or two months of time for the games in real world time and about a half month to a month of time without games. During the time off from the games life does not end and people still should be roleplaying.
Rankings: The senate is the leader of Rome. The senate consist of people elected by the people, though in the game the senate is the staff, and the staff is not elected, the staff is chosen. Next would be people in order of wealth. The lowest people ranking wise would be slaves and gladiators, though gladiators can gain respect very easily.
